inSourceCode Helps Launch localLISA.com on WordPress

When Lisa Whitman and her talented team first envisioned their daily deal website, they pictured it as more than just deals. They also knew they wanted it to be a WordPress website. Their idea: a make-your-life easier resource for Indianapolis women.

Local Lisa founders had definitely done their homework and knew they wanted to utilize the Group Buying Site and 8Coupons WordPress plug-ins. However, the plug-ins didn’t exactly meet all of their needs. Paramount to the company’s success, Lisa needed to be able to search all of the deals across the web and select the “Top 5 Daily Deals” for her readers.

The inSourceCode development team set off customizing plug-ins and built an application to aggregate deals from across the web, categorize them, and easily allow Lisa to select her top five deals for the day for their WordPress website.

In addition to these technical elements, we created a custom web design and email templates to give the brand the polished look they desired. Also, to make the day-to-day operations of sending emails to the site’s subscribers, our developers automatically linked Local Lisa’s MailChimp account to the site so new subscribers were auto-imported to the email list.

There are currently more than 54 million WordPress websites.
